Julian, who lives in New Castle, had designs on qualifying for the B.A.S.S. National Federation Championship scheduled for April 27-30 on Florida's Lake Tohopekaliga.

Speaking of competitive bass fishing, Pittsburgh-area resident Paul Julian placed second in the Paralyzed Veterans Association's fourth Grand National Championship, held on St. John's River in Sanford, Fla., January 14-16. The championship tournament is a three-day event featuring the top 25 PVA anglers in the country. Only the top five anglers get to fish the third day, and they start from zero. The one who brings in the greatest total weight of fish wins.

The Bender Enterprise Selects Vice-Chair of Its Bender Ambassador Program
