Pittsburgh, PA--Paul Julian, Associate Systems Consultant for Bender Consulting Services, Inc. (Bender Consulting ) recently qualified for the Paralyzed Veterans Association's (PVA) Grand National Tournament held on Lake Toho in Kissimmee, Florida October 21-23, 2001. His prize was a fully rigged Ranger Bass Boat.

In September, Julian, along with nearly 100 other disabled anglers, competed at the Mid-Atlantic Bass Tournament at Lake Eufaula, Chekota, OK, in an effort to win one of two remaining slots for the Grand Nationals.

"The experience to fish in this prestigious event is one that I will never forget," said Julian. "I am happy to say that the TV cameras were on me at both weigh-ins, while I was sporting the Bender Consulting Services fishing shirt."

"On the first day of the event, I weighed in a limit of 5 largemouth bass at 6.09 pounds. On the second day, a cold front came through with falling temperatures and high winds. Still, I was able to land a 12 inch bass that weighed 7.57 lbs.," said Julian.

Bender Consulting is an information technology consulting firm based in Pittsburgh that employs IT professionals with disabilities. Paul has been employed with Bender Consulting since 1996.
