Position Description:
- Manage trouble tickets, verify information in the ticket, call the end user if clarification is needed, update log, etc.
- Know how to remotely access and sign on to a server and or RIB board
- Be able to reboot a server.
- Do 1st level diagnostics like check to see what services are running, server health, file systems, loads, logs, etc.
- Reset passwords; add users, permission's, etc.
- Diagnose basic server and print server problems.
- Basic backup issues, restart a backup, check services, etc.
- Perform incremental user restores.
- Basic Data Management tasks, like add permission's, create shares, add or remove users, etc.
- Deploy and reporting Security patches.
- Remote server installations and de-installation functions.
- Share in the off hours on-call support rotation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and job experience.
- Training in Microsoft's Server Operating System.
- Good organization, interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
