1. How long will the recruitment process take?

The duration of our process varies, depending on the availability of opportunities. Please review our interview/hiring procedure document for details.


2. Do you only hire people with disabilities?

As our focus is on providing competitive employment opportunities for people with disabilities, we have a philosophy of inclusion. Over 90 percent of our employees have disabilities.


3. How did I do during the interviewing process?

It is generally not our practice to discuss outcomes of previous interviews during the early stages of the interviewing process. Nor do we give pointers for success with future interviews with the Bender Consulting staff. Our process for finding qualified employees to fill positions is long and extensive. This is in an effort to ensure that the right person is found to meet both Bender Consulting ' needs and the needs of our customers. We must first evaluate skills against opportunities that we may have available, prior to discussing individual interviewing process outcomes.

8. Why does the recruitment process take so long?

Our process is extensive, because we take the time necessary to get to know each candidate to determine their skills and their requirements. Time is taken to ensure that an appropriate match is made for both the Bender Consulting employee and the customer. 9. When do I start?

This varies from opening to opening, and is determined solely by our customer. A start date is determined only after our customer has selected a Bender Consulting consultant. 10. Explain the meaning of "lease-to-hire"

Lease-to-hire means that an employee of Bender Consulting receives benefits and salary from Bender Consulting for 6 to 9 months, depending on the length of the initial contract. Then, based on performance, a Bender Consulting employee transitions over to become a direct employee of our customer.


11. What if I want to remain an employee of Bender Consulting after the terms of an initial contract?

Most employees of Bender Consulting do transition over to become a direct employee of our customer. However, prior to employment, discussion is encouraged between the Bender Consulting employee and the Bender Consulting staff, as to an employee's specific desires, as Bender Consulting does employ several individuals who work for Bender Consulting for the long-term.

Bender Consulting has a number of different openings and keeps an active database. We consider all candidates for all positions where a match in skills, as well as candidate requirements are found.

23. Who will provide the workplace assessment for me if I need one: the client or Bender Consulting ?

Workplace assessments are to be discussed thoroughly with the Bender Consulting staff , prior to accepting any position. If an assessment is needed after working with Bender Consulting , you should have a complete discussion with a Bender Consulting on-site manager to determine the best method of accomplishing this for the employee.


24. Who can I go to for help, if needed, once I become a Bender Consulting employee?

The first point of contact would be your assigned Bender Consulting on-site manager; however, a full discussion of the proper procedure will be discussed in training prior to a start-date when determined.
